2026 APRN Pharmacology Conference

Pharmacology Focus

In the ever-evolving landscape of healthcare, advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) must remain current in pharmacologic knowledge to provide safe, effective, and evidence-based care. The Advanced Pharmacology Conference for APRNs is designed to meet this critical need by offering timely, clinically relevant updates that enhance prescribing practices, improve patient outcomes, and align with state and national regulatory requirements.

Pharmacology is a rapidly changing field, influenced by new drug approvals, updated clinical guidelines, evolving resistance patterns, and emerging therapies. Failure to stay current can increase the risk of medication errors, suboptimal treatment choices, and missed opportunities for advanced interventions. For APRNs with prescriptive authority, ongoing education in pharmacology is not only a best practice—it is often a legal and licensure requirement.

This conference provides an in-depth look at current pharmacologic trends across primary care, acute care, mental health, and specialty settings. Expert speakers will address topics such as drug-drug interactions, pharmacogenomics, controlled substances, prescribing in special populations, and updates in treatment protocols for chronic and complex conditions. Sessions are evidence-based, practice-focused, and tailored to the unique needs of nurse practitioners, clinical nurse specialists, nurse midwives, and nurse anesthetists.

By participating, APRNs will strengthen clinical decision-making, enhance patient safety, and reinforce their role as knowledgeable, accountable prescribers. Staying informed is not just about maintaining certification—it’s about delivering the highest standard of care in a dynamic and demanding healthcare environment.

Targeted Audience

The Advanced Pharmacology Conference is specifically designed for Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs) who hold prescriptive authority and are responsible for managing complex medication regimens across diverse patient populations. This includes nurse practitioners (NPs) in primary care, family health, pediatrics, adult-gerontology, women’s health, and acute care settings; clinical nurse specialists (CNSs) focused on improving clinical outcomes through advanced pharmacologic interventions; certified nurse midwives (CNMs) managing pharmacotherapy in reproductive and perinatal care; and certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs).
